The BBox provides multi-channel PA, LNA, Tx/Rx switches, and phase shifters as the back-end, ready-to-use solution for array antenna verification in mmWave communication frontend systems.Its GUI includes many advanced formulas to simplify phase angle calculations for beamforming experiments. Algorithm developers can also manually adjust phase and gain via the GUI to quickly verify simulations through experimentation.

The key aspect of TMYTEK’s solution is its test repeatability and reproducibility. The solution also incorporates a chamber-optimized fixture that is designed to be able to integrate with chamber turntable and rotator for 2D/3D pattern scanning, as well as for rapid and stable measurements of antenna characteristics.
And benefited by the multi-channel testbed, the chamber can be upgraded with existing equipment from a single RF port expanded up to 16 individual channels with phase control, especially for mmWave array antenna testing.
The independent antenna channel for individual on/off for passive array antenna test; and multiple channel gain and phase control for active beam pattern verification.
The LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C#, and C++ are open-sourced APIs and can be integrated into your analysis system.
