Moreover, the solution is structured for designing and validating the array antenna by integrating test fixtures. It is also designed to be integrated with a turntable, rotator and other measurement aids in test chambers.

The solution testbed is composed of two separable components:

1. AAkit - 4x4 high-performance array antenna reference design
2. PhiA box - well-calibrated multi-channel gain and phase controller

Antenna designers can replace the AAkit with their antenna array to perform tests and verifications without setting up extra frontend equipment.

Universal test fixture for quick and precise measurements

The key aspect of TMYTEK’s solution is its test repeatability and reproducibility. The solution also incorporates a chamber-optimized fixture that is designed to be able to integrate with chamber turntable and rotator for 2D/3D pattern scanning, as well as for rapid and stable measurements of antenna characteristics.

And benefited by the multi-channel testbed, the chamber can be upgraded with existing equipment from a single RF port expanded up to 16 individual channels with phase control, especially for mmWave array antenna testing.

Intuitive GUI & open API

The independent antenna channel for individual on/off for passive array antenna test; and multiple channel gain and phase control for active beam pattern verification.

The LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C#, and C++ are open-sourced APIs and can be integrated into your analysis system.
