FAQ

Does the UD Box 0630 require an external Local Oscillator (LO) to operate?
No. The UD Box 0630 features a built-in, highly adjustable internal LO (6–30 GHz) with an integrated OCXO reference clock. However, it also includes an external LO input port, giving you the flexibility to use an external LO for multi-device synchronization if required.
Can the UD Box 0630 support simultaneous up-conversion and down-conversion for full-duplex testing?
Yes. Thanks to its dual-channel isolation design, the UD Box 0630 can perform up- and down-conversion at the same time. This allows you to test full-duplex wireless links and bidirectional communication systems simultaneously with a single device, saving both equipment costs and lab space.
For multi-channel MIMO setups, how does the UD Box 0630 ensure phase coherence across multiple units?
Phase coherence is critical for accurate MIMO and phased array validation. The UD Box 0630 achieves exceptional phase stability across multiple devices by utilizing a shared Local Oscillator (LO) architecture and deterministic synchronization via our integrated clocking interfaces. This ensures your expanded testbed remains tightly synchronized.
What types of instruments are compatible with the UD Box 0630?
It is universally compatible with most standard sub-6 GHz instruments on the market, including Vector Signal Generators (VSGs), Vector Signal Analyzers (VSAs), Vector Signal Transceivers (VSTs), and Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
How do we control the UD Box 0630 in an automated production line?
You can seamlessly integrate it using our TMXLAB Kit (TLK) software. We provide a comprehensive API suite that fully supports popular programming environments like Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++, and C# over an Ethernet (LAN) connection.
